For sure they will implement some changes to how SL works in future.
Johnny Guilt wrote:But the swarm does have a draw back, the lock on without one the weapon is useless for how you want to blow up vehicles with it,The heavy's draw back to using the forge(aside from the charge time which can be lessen with skills) is its mobility but that related to the suit's idea of being slow and not the weapon itself. I am not able to destroy adv. LAV with AFG if he does not want to drive through me. He is just to fast target. But if I could only lock on him with my forge gun I could blow him up in a very easy way .
Visually, I like those spirals of this video. It would be nice if they introduced something like this, because it just looks awesome.
But I would prefer that the change was included with rig slots for weapons. In EVE, beyond the usual slots on ships are too rig slots which additionally improve their properties(but at cost of other). Forge gun could for example have rigs that increase splash dmg but lower its radius, or lower charge time but also lower impact dmg.. and so on. SL could have rigs that makes spirals shots but lower they dmg.

The people who would be willing to do this would be dedicated anti-vehicle people who btw already need 2-3 people at least to coordinate an attack to have a even a decent chance against a high level tank. Sure top tier tanks are too powerful as it is, or there just isn't sufficient anti-vehicle weapons yet available in Dust, but I don't think making missiles smarter fixes the problem. The non-exploit dropship users are having hard enough time with dodging swarms as it is. Top tier tanks are powerful(for now) because we are not able to invite friend/corp mates to battlefield. |
